To Educate, Inspire, and Promote responsible stewardship of God's Creation
he green committee is a group of parishioners concerned about our church communities impact on the environment around us. Our name and motto "Servants of Christ - Guardians of God's Creations" is applicable to all parishioners regardless of age, family status, and position.
In the book of Genesis God proclaims that we, the people made in his image shall "Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all living things that move on the earth." (Gen 1:28)
To that end we should strive to protect, preserve and renew the environment around us. It is the Lord's Holy Creation and we have been entrusted with it. It is not ours. It is the Lord's, left in our care.
The committee will continue to research and develop ways that all parishioners and visitors to our community can continue to and further protect the environment around, at home, at work, at church, and globally.
"Think of us in this way, as servants of Christ and stewards of God's mysteries." (1Cor 4:1)
